Office of International Affairs The Office of International Affairs was established on July 1, 2005 to promote the partnerships and student exchange programs with overseas universities and educational institutions and to support foreign students in the admission to the undergraduate, graduate course and Korean language course.
As of May 2022, Jeju National University (JNU) has established global partnerships with 320 universities and 28 institutions of 48 countries by concluding academic exchange agreements. In order to make JNU take a leap forward as Asia's top university, the Center for International Affairs has been running Student Exchange Programs including the Study Abroad, International Summer School, and Short-term Korean Language & Culture Program with partner universities to help students interact with each other. Also, it has participated in international education exhibitions and visited overseas universities to push forward a new partnership and attract more foreign students to JNU.
In addition, we put much effort in running the Korean Language Course and International Student Admissions, which has resulted in JNU getting the institution accreditation of "International Education Quality Assurance System", valid from March 2014 to February 2023 by the Ministry of Education, Republic of Korea.
국제교류본부 는 2005년 7월 1일에 신설되어 해외 교육기관 및 대학과의 학술교류협정체결, 교류수학생 파견 및 수용 등 국제교류 업무와 외국인 특별전형, 한국어과정 등 외국인 유학생 관련 업무를 담당하고 있습니다.
2022년 5월 현재 48개국 320개 대학, 28개 기관과의 학술교류협정 체결로 글로벌 네트워크를 구축하였습니다. 국제교류본부에서는 제주대학교가 아시아의 명문, 세계의 중심 대학으로 발돋움할 수 있도록 해외 자매대학과의 학생교류프로그램(교류수학, 국제여름학교, 단기한국어한국문화연수)을 운영하여 학생 간 교류를 활성화하기 위해 노력하고 있으며 국제 유학박람회 참가, 외국대학 및 기관 방문 등을 통해 신규 자매대학 확보, 외국인 유학생 유치를 도모하고 있습니다.
뿐만 아니라 한국어과정, 외국인 입학 특별전형 운영을 통해 외국인 유학생 유치 및 관리에도 힘쓰고 있습니다. 그 결과 제주대학교가 2014~2023년 교육부지정 외국인 유학생 유치관리 인증기관으로 선정되었습니다.
