- Evaluation
- Mid-term exam (40%), Final exam (60%)
- Attendance
- Class starts on schedule. Lateness and absences are strictly controlled.
- No show up until 10 minutes after class starts is counted as lateness.
- No show up until 30 minutes after class starts is counted as an absence.
- 3 lateness is counted as one absence for 1 hour of class.
- Completion & Re-registration
- Those who attend 80% of the course and get a score of 70 score or higher in the exam can complete the course
- with a completion certificate and transcript.
- Those who get less than 70 and attend less than 80% of the course will not be able to move up to next level and stay in the
- same level for up to 3 times.
- Those who are are found to have registered the course under false pretenses or for any other reasons than study
- or do not conduct themselves properly in class s will not be allowed for re-registration.
- Those who stay in the same level more than 3 times, who attend less than 70% of the course,
- and who are absent without leave more than 3 times will be expelled from the course.
- Those who are expelled from the course can not apply for a tuition refund.
- Level Test
- New students will be placed into each level based on the level test. The level test consists of writing and oral tests.
- Those who have not learned Korean language before will be placed into level 1 without the level test.
- Those who get good score at the writing and oral exams (85 or higher for each test) can move up to the next level if they agree.
- Those who have learned Korean language in other institutes should submit the completion certificate and transcript in order for
- the Korean Language Course office to decide their levels in accordance with the level test.
- Counselling
- The Korean language course office staff and teachers counsel with students about their school life,
- attitude in class and study plan after the course on a regular basis.
