□ General Information
1. Start Date of 2021 Fall Semester: Wednesday, September 1, 2021
2. Quarantine Period: 14 days from arrival (Arrival date+14), and quarantined until 12:00 p.m.
- Designated Entry Dates: August 9 – August 17, 2021.
- If students cannot arrive during the designated period, they should consult with us in advance.
3. D-2 Visa
- Apply through the Republic of Korea’s Consulate/Embassy within the student’s home country by actually visiting them
- Documents provided by Office of International Affairs: Certificate of Admission, JNU Business License
- Documents needed for visa application: Check the Republic of Korea’s Consulate/Embassy website or call to confirm.
4. Send flight information (arriving in Incheon and Jeju) to the Office of International Affairs.
5. Prepare following documents before departure from home country.
- Certificate of Admission
- Confirmation of Residence: Student Dormitory Document
*This will be sent once student completes payment for the quarantine fee.
※ Effective from 08 January 2021(KST), all foreign nationals arriving in the ROK must have on hand a negative COVID-19 PCR test result issued within 72 hours of their departure. - A proof of a negative COVID-19 test (PCR) must be presented to the airline personnel when the foreign passenger boards an aircraft. Boarding will not be permitted for foreign passengers without a negative COVID-19 test result issued within 72 hours. The test result should be submitted to the quarantine authorities upon their arrival in the ROK. - The test result issued from the testing organization agency at the country of departure must be in English (or Korean). If the result cannot be issued in English or Korean, supplemental translated certificates certifying the translation can be submitted along with the PCR test result. The test result certificate should include information such as name of traveller (as per passport), passport number, name of test taken, test result, date of application (test date), seal (stamp or sign) of the issuing authority, etc. - If the passenger received the test result by email, he/she is required to print it and present to the airline personnel and quarantine authorities in hard copy. - A negative COVID-19 PCR test certificate is deemed valid only when issued within 72 hours prior to departure. (Ex. When a flight departs at 10:00 on January 10, 2021, the certificate issued only after 00:00 on January 7, 2021 is acceptable. - COVID-19 test must include Real-time Reverse Transcription Polymerase Chain Reaction. |

6. Jeju National University Student Dormitory Temporary Quarantine Facility
- Quarantine Period: 14 days
- Quarantine Facility: One single en suite room per person
- Cost: 504,000 Korean won per person (inclusive of 2 meals (Korean cuisine) per day, snacks, bottled water, toiletries and other basic necessities)
- Payment: Wire transfer to a bank account of JNU Office of International Affairs
- Even if your COVID-19 results upon arrival are negative, the 14 day quarantine period is mandatory.
